Why bacteria counts alone don't tell the whole story
A high bacteria count on a surface doesn't automatically mean a high health risk – what also matters is what share of the species found are actually pathogenic, and how often that object transfers bacteria from hand to face. Glasses, for instance, have constant facial contact; a door handle doesn't.
